Thai Style Chicken Chop

Mid Valley shopping mall, a bit far than the center but not so crowded. They lack nothing what the shopping malls in the center can offer, and it can be reached by transport LRT easily. When you need a break from the shopping, why don't you indulge yourself with some local food and Oasis foodcourt can be the answer.

I tried the Chicken Chop Thai Style in there. The flour dusted chicken are deepfried and then sliced to small pieces. It is covered by thick black pepper sauce on top. It comes with a fried eeg and diced cucumbers at side to neutralize the spicy flavour. What a simple dish, but yet delicious tasty.

Pan Mee

Pan mee, simple dish yet so comforting. The vendor is just located at the starting line from the entrance. The anchovy broth and topped with crispy deep fried anchovies. Home made noodle, come with mani vegitable, sayur manis in malay. You can on top of that, have chili in soy sauce topping and sambla olek topping. They fit so well with it. There are plenty versions of this with different meat depend on vendor. What I miss the most from this meal is the spuncy siitake mushrooms and minced meat, my favourites. Forget to ask the vendor, if they have them. Otherwise combining with them, it is perfect.

Tom Yum Goong

If you are addicted to the Thailand's Tom Yum Goong and find yourself difficult to find one in Malaysia, dont worry, Oasis foodcourt has it. I am addicted to it, cause mouth starts watering already by just hearing those name.

Tom yum goong, a dish that has all the flavours mixed harmoniously, sourness from the lime juice, spiciness from the crushed dried chili spices that smoothened by the coconut milk and sweetened by the sugar in the broth. The summed up heat defintely sweat all the daily pressures away.

This dish is also available in Laos, Cambodia and Singapore too. Tom Yum can be included with different meat. Tom Yum is the broth, Goong refers to the prawns. Another version, Tom yum Gai means Tom Yum chicken. For me Tom Yum Thale is the best, seafood mix version, squids, shrimps and fish pieces that can be deep fried or simple boiled in the broth. I don't think the Thais will eat the lemon grasses from the soup. Anyway I always leave the herb leaves and lemongrasses there unconsumed.

- 1. Remember to take enough coins for commune bus's ticket. Driver won't return small changes

- 2. Always take a package of tissue paper along. Kopitiam, low cost cafeteria doesn't include one in wash room.
